Chatting With Julia Vellucci

 Hey People!

I had the honour of talking to the lovely and amazing author- Julia Vellucci. It was so much fun! I am sharing the chat with you guys, keep scrolling.

  1. What has influenced you the most as a writer?

As a writer, my personal mistakes through my life experiences I undergo and learn from, lessons my parents and sister have taught me all mainly contribute to the inspirational and wholesome themes and messages I incorporate into my novels.

  1. Do you like audiobooks, physical books, or e-books better? WHY?

I prefer physical books as I love to stare at the stunning cover and spine of them on my shelf and flip through their pages when reading them.  That to me feels like truly reading and diving into the character's world.

  1. What behind-the-scenes tidbit in your life would probably surprise your

readers the most?

Considering that the main genre of my novels is romance, my readers would expect I would have some experience in that field as the emotions and feelings I paint for my characters as well as their love story, interactions and reactions are quite realistic. However, this is the opposite of reality as I have never been in a romantic relationship, but use movies, shows, people I see around me as well as my own feelings towards the subject to make it feel real.

  1.  What is the funniest typo you’ve ever written?

I cringe anytime someone texts me using the wrong your. I can't help but laugh when I accidentally do the same myself in my first draft.

  1.  What is your favourite time to write, and why?

My favourite time to write is late at night when everyone is asleep because the silence and surprisingly the darkness of the room allow the imagination to spark most since it takes a lot to make a dark and quiet space bright and lively.

  1.  How do you think being a writer has helped you as a person?

Being a writer has helped me understand parts of myself my characters can best relate to, some parts I admire and have yet to discover, others I exhibit and some I need to work on.  I also have never been good at visual art, so it provides me with a different way to express myself creatively which I really enjoy and a fun way to escape reality and venture off into the unknown.

  1. What is your favourite word, and why?

There are far too many to choose from.  I wouldn’t even know where to begin with this.

  1.  Do you Google yourself?

Haha, all the time.  I feel the need to see what readers see, if anything new I partook in pops up and use it as a confidence boost when I feel as if nobody is reading my books.  This is to see how far I have come from the 15-year-old girl with the dream to get her books published that began the moment she began writing to the 18-year-old girl with five books traditionally published and available on Amazon as a paperback and ebook.

  1.  What are your favourite novels?

Although I write romance novels, my favourite novels to read are mysteries, especially if they have the subgenre of romance in them.  I love how they leave you on the edge of your seat and keep you guessing.  My favourite mystery series is The Dream With Little Angel's series by Michael Hiebert which portrays children with as much knowledge and determination as an adult, has a sweet love story, a gruesome and elaborate mystery and both relatable characters and inspirational themes that make you feel a part of it all.

  1. If you could be a supernatural creature, which one would it be?

A skeleton would be a cool one as you'd never have to have an x-ray done and the different shapes of the bones that all work together to allowing you to function are beyond fascinating and awesome to view.

  1. If you could time travel, would you like to visit the past or future?

I would like to visit the future, so I would know what happens if I continue the path I am currently on.  If I am not happy with it or with how the world will end up, I will change my life accordingly and persuade many to assist in protecting the world.

  1.  If you had to describe yourself in 3 words, what would they be?

Determined, kind and creative

  1.  Any message you would like to give to your readers?

No matter what you enjoy doing, may it be writing in my case, never hesitate to make time for what you love.  Even if it doesn't make sense to others, make it everything you imagined yet so much more.

Great sources of inspiration for all artists.   2.    Do you like audiobooks, physical books, or e-books better? Why? I love physical books because I can smell them, feel them, touch the depths of their souls. Also, they never run out of battery!  I haven’t tried audiobooks but I don’t pay attention to sound much. If I listen to music, I get absorbed by what I do, for example, writing, and suddenly I discover I am 50 songs away. I may download ebooks out of necessity because my bookcases have no room, but I prefer physical copies.   3.    What behind-the-scene
